A veterinary exam is a wellness checkup for your loyal companion. During the visit, a veterinarian will perform a physical assessment to learn more about your pet’s well-being. Additionally, our team may run diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and more to detect underlying issues. These exams are important as your pet undergoes many changes throughout their life that can lead to diseases. To schedule an appointment for your pet, call us at 416-690-0625.

What are the benefits of veterinary exams?

  • Regular comprehensive physical examinations with your veterinarian will help us detect problems early and treat them before they become serious or life-threatening.
  • Veterinary exams allow pet owners to share their pet’s health information with our team so we can create a treatment plan.
  • We can assess your pet’s current treatment plan and make necessary changes. For pets with known health issues, it’s important that we constantly monitor them and the effects of their therapy.
  • Our team will discuss preventative care such as vaccinations, deworming, parasite control, weight management, etc., which contribute to your pet’s overall health.

How often should my senior pet have a veterinary exam?

It is standard for pets to have one veterinary exam annually. In some cases, your pet’s health status and age may require additional exams throughout the year. Senior pets should have bi-annual checkups to detect health problems they are prone to develop. Kittens and puppies need three veterinary exams each year.
